What kind of people buy châteaus anyway?

Who am I? Who am I??? 24601!!!! That was for the Les Mis fans. 😉 Many of you have asked who we are / who we were before we made the plunge to become château owners and we thought we’d share that answer with you. As you probably already know from the scores of others who have bought châteaus before us, you don’t have to be a millionaire to do it. Being lucky helps. Being tenacious helps. Finding the right seller at the right moment helps. We bought our château 3 months ago in the fall of 2022 and firmly believe that we missed the low-selling days of the château market by a couple years. Our whole experience has been a dog fight. But where there’s a will there’s a way and we got lucky right before we gave up.
