Your Hosts

We are an American-Danish couple that met back in early 2016. Karen is a Creative Director in advertising. She has a daughter living in America. Bo is an Airline Captain. He has a daughter and two boys living in Denmark.

We were married in 2019 at the iconic Villa Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. Ever since our destination wedding, we’ve been on the hunt in southern France to find a château of our own, where we could host weddings and run a bed & breakfast.

Our search started in June 2021 and we visited seven properties before finding ‘the one’ in November of the same year. It wasn’t until the late summer of 2022 that, at long last, we could finally move into our new home in the Dordogne Valley.

We feel very privileged and lucky to be the custodians of Château de La Tuilerie, our 200-year-old castle. Not only is our home everything we dreamed, but the surrounding area is too. The sprawling green landscapes, towering limestone cliffs, peaceful waters, abundant wildlife, and idyllic countryside will take your breath away sending you straight back in time.
