Lots of château buyers buy with the intention of massive renovation. That was not the case with us. We wanted projects, yes. But we knew we didn’t have the capacity to take on a ruin and bring it back. The former owners of Château de La Tuilerie didn’t just own the castle, they lived in it. As a result, all systems were in good condition and the interior was move-in ready. That’s not to say that we don’t have plans to re-decorate to bring our Queen’s Escape concept to life. We do. 🙂 For now, we’re focused on tidying up the exterior, painting, planting, trimming, and freshening. We found the interior to be ready-to-rent.
